Pi Mai temple offerings
Lot's on offer to wish for good luck and to gain merit; birds to set free, flowers, fruit

a new baby, time to celebrate with a Baci
Noy, my neighbour, had her first baby, I love cuddling newborn babies
and also love going to their Baci's, especially with Christine and John who love being part of the local community
Around the world people love to gather and celebrate life events with food, drink and togetherness, the only difference in Laos is the mobile phone is a big part of the ceremony too, I was sitting next to a gentleman who let his ring for what seemed like a lifetime, when he answered he had a long conversation at full volume, pop pen yang, no-one minded at all

Julie and Tony sadly left Luanf Prabang, after a brief stay at Lisa's, their sofa is now in the hospital's library via an exciting ride through town on the sofa in the back of a truck with lots of waves from the locals!

No I haven't peed my pants, it's Pi Mai!
It's Laos New Year
A time when Buddhas are washed with water at the temples
This water is sacred and it used for blessings and to wish people good luck.
Over the years, rather than splashing a small amount of water in a quiet respectful type way
now tradition is to pour buckets whooping and having heaps of fun.
It's day 1 of a week full of partying and water throwing
Luang Prabang usually runs out of water during Pi Mai, but not BeerLao!
Today I got soaked on the way to work, and on the way to our work Pi Mai party
The locals seemed to focus on my santa crocha! which everyone is finding very funny
Soggy pants all day! I need a drink
