I made it to Phongsali

Well it was a very long bus journey to Phongsali but I met so many great people from differnt backgrounds on the bus who became my buddies for the days in Phongsali.
Life starts early here, speakers wake the town up at 5am, can you Adam and Eve it. Lovely to wander the old town with wooden houses and spend time in the market. Lovely to be cool, I can see my breath here!
The scenery is gorgeous, lovely walking through the rain forest and tea plantations of Laos. And at the end of the walk to stumble across a group of builder who invited us to join their after work drink. That was a magical hour.
Whilst travelling over the past 2 weeks I've seen how tough life would be for me here, working hard, surviving, no holidays. I'm very grateful to observe different ways of living, it's a privilege to be able to and I wish the people of Phongsali could come and see how I live my life in Luang Prabang or London.  I've had so much given to me and so many opportunities.

  1. It applies again ... "Giving, giving, giving, if it isn't giving, it isn't living!" :)
