beautiful bike rides to work, the LFHC gang are very happy, Dr Dorkeo gave me a massage at the end of a busy day and great to see patients again who love playing with my camera
You do not seem to be blogging anymore, but I have just spent the best part of the past two days reading through your posts with enormous smiles, laughter, and tears in my eyes... and it seemed somewhat rude to leave without a note of gratitude.
I have not so long ago returned from Luang Prabang where I had the immense pleasure of volunteering. I'm back home now, though my heart seems to have remained there. Hence my stumbling on this blog - browsing the internet for some reminiscing... One of my dear students was "your" Novice Pali. I taught him Spanish and we spent an hour each day sharing our love for poetry and even writing a poem together. He spoke about you often and with warmth, but I had not made the connection until I saw the posts that featured him. And well, it is lovely to "meet" you albeit virtually. I found your blog posts to be highly inspiring and can only hope to return to Luang Prabang again soon... to pick up my heart pieces and no doubt plant them back into each individual I meet. Who knows, perhaps our paths will cross. It would be an honour.
