Burma; a big Buddha day

Another gorgeous day cycling along daydreaming and observing life. It's interesting to compare iBurma with Laos, the monks dress in saffron robes here rather than orange, there are heaps more Buddha images dotted all over the countryside, heads are used to carry rather than backs and the people seem very resourceful. I imagine this is because the country was closed to the rest of the world for so long, when you're on your own you've just got to get on with things.
