Ruby and Anouk planned a lesson for the novice monks at Wat NaLuang. As it's festival time here they decided to talk about festivals happening at this time of year in the UK, Harvest festival and Halloween, and then onto poetry, ooh, very intellectual and we learned life was all about giving, giving, giving.
I've been getting heaps of loving kidness

Nurse Kuelee
Kuelee is an exceptional nurse here at Lao Friends Hopsital for Children, bright, motivated, caring, so he's been selected to train to be a nurse anaesthatist in preparation for the opening of the operating theatres in 2016. He will attend a 6 month programme at our sister hospital, Angkor Hospital for Children, in Cambodia.
I've been very impressed with his professionalism, he's such a great student and has become a wonderful friend. I decided to buy him a laptop to help with his studies, he was a very happy boy.
Sok Dee Kuelee!

decorating Wat Na Luang ....
.... for the festival of light and Novice Pali wanted to make a star with the Union Jack flag!
I said to him that's way too difficult, Pali disagreed and said we should try, but I don't even know where all the triangles go, don't worry teacher Michael I have a book of the world's flags! And so we worked away and produced a rather spectacular star! it was a wonderful afternoon. All the novices at Wat NaLuang were busy being creative, except Somxai who preferred to supervise and, as ever, relax!
