Wat NaLuang

the novices suggested rather than getting up early for the dawn alms ceremony i could come at 11 o'clock with pizza! they loved it.
and i loved helping them make the bamboo and tissue paper lanterns for the festival of light next week which marks the end of Buddhist lent

karen has landed

there was a welcoming party at the airport and she came bearing gifts!
a computer for Sommai, never seen him smile so much.
books for the novice and football magazines,do not understand the obsession with the premier league.
but i do understand the pleasure from chocolate, thanks babes, yummmmmmyyyyyyyy!

shopping

she was too gorgeous to resist
would anyone like me to buy them a lunchbox ?

luncheon

always a pleasure by the meekong
the luang prabang omlette is packed with healthy veggies
shame i had to go back to work
could have happily relaxed here all afternoon

after work drinks

stunning view from the rooftop of the office
perfect place for us to share a beer after a hard weeks work and watch the sun go down

Buddhist lent ends on the 8th of October this year.
All the temples are gearing up for a celebration, the novice monks are busy making bamboo and tissue paper stars, boats, the temples are looking beautiful even with the ubiquitous apple!
